Knit a handful of adorable wee woodland friends, to share or keep for yourself! They are perfect for pocket pals, stockings, Christmas trees, or mobiles. The pattern includes instructions for 7 animals: a squirrel, a mouse, a hare, an otter, a hedgehog, an owl, and s fox. In addition, you can knit them tiny hats and scarves, to keep cozy during brisk autumn days!
The finished toys are about 3-4” tall, and use only a small amount of worsted weight yarn for each animal. The hat and scarf patterns use small amounts of fingering weight yarn - a good way to use up leftover sock yarn. Skills required include stockinette stitch, seed stitch, m1 increase, k2tog, ssk, s2kp, bobbles of different sizes, changing colours, intarsia (fox and owl), and sewing seams. The toys are all knit flat, then seamed, stuffed and assembled.
