This sweet and lovable little kitty is the perfect size for a young child. Of course, adorable softies are good for any age! This pattern is quite flexible, so you can experiment with other colour combinations to make your favourite kitty. The apron-style dress is pretty and quick to make, with a simple lace pattern, and an optional button at the skirt back.
 
The finished toy is about 20 cm (8") tall. All pieces are knit flat, then seamed and assembled. This pattern is intermediate level, with the most challenging part being the lace pattern on the dress skirt.
 
Materials
Kitty: 25 g of worsted weight yarn in both of cream, 25 g of worsted weight yarn in dark brown, 10 g of worsted weight yarn in medium brown, pair of 4 mm (US size 6) needles, small amount of black yarn to embroider the face, pair of 8-10 mm buttons or safety eyes, stuffing.
Dress: 15 g of fingering weight yarn, pairs of 2.75 and 3 mm (US size 2 and 2.5) needles, 1 small button (optional), tapestry needle
