This pattern makes a sweet and cuddly mermaid doll, with a pretty peplum top. The doll is knit with worsted weight yarn, and can have simple knitted hair, or can be embellished with a hairstyle of your own design. The peplum top is knit from fingering weight yarn, and is reversible, so you have two style options.

Pattern is intermediate level. All pieces are knit flat and then seamed, stuffed, and assembled. Three hair styles are described in the pattern, but have fun styling your finished toy!

Any of the tops from my Summer, Autumn, and Winter Outfit patterns will fit this doll, if you'd like more dress-up options for your Mermaid. The hooded cape from my Wood Elf doll pattern would also look fetching on the mermaid.
